Christmas 2009

What a nice Christmas this ended up being. I had the Christmas blues at first but ended wonderful.

Christmas Eve we made cookies and took the kids sledding. It was a quiet day but it was what I needed. The kids all wanted to go to bed at 6pm so Christmas would come faster. They did go to bed early at 8:30pm. That was nice for Coby and I, we got everything done and I was asleep by 10pm.

Kinley was the first kid up and it was 5:30 am. I didnt think it was too bad, but Coby wanted them to go back to bed. The kids won that fight. Kinley got everything she wanted and we all can hear her present. She got a iHome for her nano. Tatum got her Nintendo DS she has been asking for this since last year. Zac also got a DS. I thought it would make him not want to play the Wii so much and it has kind of worked.

We went and visited Cobys family first and it was nice it was just us and his parents. We visited while the kids played with their new things. We missed having Uncle Roger there, making everyone laugh and his cooking.

Then it was off to the Tates. Oh that house isnt quiet especially when Zac and Jayne got Nerf guns. It was great to watch Jayne, Jesse, Jaron, Zac and even Grandpa shot each other. We thought we werent going to see Jon and his family, but they surprised and came. It was so exciting to have them. We always play Trivial Pursuit and its always boys against girls and of course girls won.

What a day!! I am so blessed to have a wonderful family.

Halloween

Halloween was a busy day. Kinley started out by going to a dance workshop put on by Thayne Jasperson from So you think you can dance season 4. She had a ball dancing with him.

Then Coby was off to do the chain gang for the SUU game. He has loved doing that since he was a kid. He likes to be in the action.

Then it was trick or treating. The kids were so excited to get some candy and wear their costumes.

Kinley was an 80's girl. I loved getting her dresses, it brought back so many memories of my childhood. Tatum was a vampire. I asked her if she wanted to be a nice or mean one and she said mean. But when I got her ready she was scared of what she looked like. I didnt even make her too scary. After I got calmed down she loved it. Zac was Robin from Batman. He is obsessed with super heroes. He already picked out and bought next years costume. He will be Captain America. Then after they went trick or treating Kinley had a party at her friends house. She has turned into a social butterfly. It seems like every week she has a party to go too.

I am glad halloween is over and now its Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Logan

So it was Fall break and we decided to head to Logan. We started out going to Hogle Zoo, Grandma, Aunt Bri and Brenna came with us. They had so much fun they loved all the baby animals that were there. It was a beautiful day to go. Not cold or hot just perfect. Then we were off to Logan. Uncle Jaron, Jon, Aunt Kari, Camdyn and Grandpa meet us up there. We stayed at Aunt Dianes home. They next day was full of swimming, ice skating, barbecuing and shoppping at the USU bookstore. The girls loved ice skating they only fell once. It was so fun to see the girls ice skate. That what I did as a kid. We also went to lunch at El Sol, my best friend from Logan meet us there. It was so nice to talk with Joni.

Sunday morning we went swimming again, and then off to Willow Park. That park was my favorite growing up. The have a little zoo. The kids loved all the animals. Then we were off to go home. It was a nice little trip. I cant wait to go back.

Fall

So today the tempature went down from high 80's to mid 60's. Holy cow was I freezing. I had to pull out the jackets for the kids and I.
Things I love about fall is the weather, halloween, the leaves changing and most of all new seasons start on TV. I know lame but I love to watch one of my shows with Coby when all the kids are asleep.
We went to St.George and had lunch with Jesse and Jaron and we decided to go to the halloween store. Zac was totally freaked out along with Camdyn they both were saying spiders scary. It was cute and sad. I guess I shoud have known better because last year Zac hated my scary man that was on the porch.

Back to School

So its Back to School time and I think I was more excited then they were. Kinley is in 5th grade and loves it so far. She has to wear glasses like her mother but what do you expect when I am blind. I let her get contacts and she seems to like them. She had dance tryouts the day before she went back to school and she did awesome. I am happy that she is a dancer, I think Coby wishes she like sports more.
Tatum is in the 1st grade and she loves it. She loves to play with all of her friends and chase boys. She comes home and always is telling me who she chased. She also has to wear glasses and she is really good about it. I think she is because I told both of them that if I caught them not wearing their glasses or contacts they would have to do extra chores.
So funny story I was getting the girls ready on the first day they both picked out neon color school clothes and Kinley likes big hair. Anyway Coby came in and said I feel like I am back in middle school all we need is Navy or Exclamation perfume.
Zac was glad the girls went back and now he gets alone time with me and Coby.

Updating my Blog

I know I am so bad at this. I need to do it more often. I just forget and then when I do remember I get side tracked.
Well its been a long summer so far. I really cant wait until school starts. Kinley is busy dancing and hanging out with her friends. She also cant wait for school to start...I think she is tired of me. She got her teacher letter a couple of weeks ago and she is excited to be in Mrs. Mackelprangs class.
Tatum is also dancing this summer. She played softball again, I mean tee ball. She enjoyed more this year because she kinda knew what she was doing. She is still waiting for her teacher letter, she is checking the mail everyday.
Zac really wants the girls to go back to school. They totally are messing with his alone time. He really likes to be the only one home, he gets 100% attention.
